Fundraising ideas
Fundraise your way
Whatever your age or interest, there is a fun way to help. Tell us what you are planning and we will support you with ideas, posters and a letter of authority.
At school
Non-uniform days, cake sales, sponsored reads and our “Supporting Little Fighters” tees.
At work
Dress-down days, quiz nights, payroll giving and matched funding from your employer.
In your community
Coffee mornings, car boot sales, raffles and community events with friends and neighbours.
Celebrations
Ask for donations instead of gifts for your birthday, wedding or special occasion.

Good to know
Fundraising safely and legally
Paying in your money
Once your event is over, you can pay in what you raised through our donate page. Please mention your event in the comments so we can thank you.
Collections and permissions
If you plan to collect money in a public place, you may need a licence from your local council. Always ask permission before fundraising on private property.
Raffles and prize draws
Small raffles at an event are usually fine, but larger lotteries have legal requirements. Check the Gambling Commission’s guidance or ask us before you start.
Using our name and logo
Please describe your event as “in aid of Children in Need Fund (Registered Charity No. 287866)”. Contact us before using our logo, and never use the BBC’s Pudsey Bear or branding.
Every fundraiser makes a difference
Tell us what you are planning and we will help you make it a success.
