Fundraising ideas

Fundraise your way

Whatever your age or interest, there is a fun way to help. Tell us what you are planning and we will support you with ideas, posters and a letter of authority.

At school

Non-uniform days, cake sales, sponsored reads and our “Supporting Little Fighters” tees.

At work

Dress-down days, quiz nights, payroll giving and matched funding from your employer.

In your community

Coffee mornings, car boot sales, raffles and community events with friends and neighbours.

Celebrations

Ask for donations instead of gifts for your birthday, wedding or special occasion.

Take on a challenge

Run, walk, cycle or swim for children

Sign up for a sponsored run, walk or national event and support our ongoing campaigns. From a local 5k to a marathon, every mile you complete helps a child get the care and equipment they need.

Corporate partnerships with real impact

We work with businesses looking to make a meaningful social impact. Because our trustees cover all running costs, your company’s support goes straight to helping children.

Good to know

Fundraising safely and legally

Once your event is over, you can pay in what you raised through our donate page. Please mention your event in the comments so we can thank you.

If you plan to collect money in a public place, you may need a licence from your local council. Always ask permission before fundraising on private property.

Small raffles at an event are usually fine, but larger lotteries have legal requirements. Check the Gambling Commission’s guidance or ask us before you start.

Please describe your event as “in aid of Children in Need Fund (Registered Charity No. 287866)”. Contact us before using our logo, and never use the BBC’s Pudsey Bear or branding.

Every fundraiser makes a difference

Tell us what you are planning and we will help you make it a success.
